Grown and Characterization of ZnO Aligned Nanorod Arrays for Sensor Applications

ZnO nanorods are promising materials for many applications, in particular UV detectors. In the present paper, properties of high crystal quality individual and nanorod arrays grown by self-catalytic CVD method have been investigated to assess their possible applicationsfor photodetectors. X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy cathodoluminescence investigations demonstrate nanorods. The resistivity carrier concentration dark is estimated. transient photocurrent response both as annealed at 550 °C array under illumination pulses studied. It shown that annealing increases sensitivity decreases responsivity explained oxygen out-diffusion formation near surface layer enriched with vacancies. Oxygen vacancy due confirmed an increase green emission band intensity.
